Curriculum

Don College offers a very wide curriculum covering the Arts, STEM, Design and Production, Humanities, Vocational Education and Outdoor Recreation.

As part of the curriculum offering, Don offers subjects administered by the Office of Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC) http://www.tasc.tas.gov.au 

Students studying TASC subjects are on a pathway towards the Tasmanian Certificate of Education and, in many cases, towards achieving an ATAR score with a view to attending a tertiary institution in Australia.

The other section of the curriculum comprises vocational certificate courses. These courses provide practical training in preparation for work in a selected industry.

While the curriculum is divided in this way many students complete a mixture of VET and TASC subjects. VET subjects also count towards the TCE.
